te brahmanå kasyapasya gayasya ca.
Antah
kosamiva jåmayoípi nahyåmi te bhagam.
By the word and law of the free, all
wise, all watching adorable lord of the universe, I bind together your life and
good fortune, dignity and prosperity together, yours, O bride, and yours, O
bride groom, and just as women tie up and safeguard the treasure chest of the
family, so together you too safeguard the honour and dignity of the family.
